THE PILGRIMS Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has released the third episode of its Hajj education series, providing Ghanaian pilgrims with deeper insight into some of the most important rites of the pilgrimage.

The episode features Sheikh Abdul Malik Maiga, Head of PAOG’s Dawah Team, who offers practical and spiritual guidance on the journey from Muzdalifah to Jamarat, including the proper procedures for the symbolic stoning of the devil (Shaitan).

HEAD OF PAOG COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTORATE, M. A. HUSSEIN LAMPTEY.

Drawing from Islamic teachings and the experiences of this year’s pilgrimage, Sheikh Maiga explained the significance of the rituals and highlighted the role of the Dawah Team in assisting pilgrims to perform them correctly, safely and in accordance with Islamic principles.

According to the PAOG Communications Directorate, led by Mohammed Amin Hussein Lamptey, the educational series is part of efforts to strengthen pilgrims’ understanding of Hajj rites and enrich their spiritual experience throughout the pilgrimage.

PAOG noted that the fourth and final episode of the interview series with Sheikh Maiga will be released soon. The final edition is expected to offer further reflections and important lessons from the 2026 Hajj exercise.

Meanwhile, the Communications Directorate extended congratulations to the Black Stars and all Ghanaians following Ghana’s victory over Panama, describing the result as a moment of national pride. The message conveyed the goodwill and support of the Ghanaian Hajj delegation currently in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

As Ghanaian pilgrims continue their spiritual journey and preparations to return home, PAOG says it remains committed to educating, guiding and supporting them at every stage of the pilgrimage.
