FORMER Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North, Hon. Betty Krosbi Mensah, has officially picked up her nomination forms to contest the position of National Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In announcing her decision, she expressed her commitment to building a stronger, more united and empowered Women’s Wing that supports women not only during elections but also in their personal development, leadership and everyday lives.
She said her decision to contest the position was driven by her belief in the strength, hard work and potential of women who continue to play a vital role in the growth and success of the party.
According to her, every woman deserves the opportunity, encouragement and support needed to develop her talents and rise to leadership positions within the party and beyond.
Hon. Mensah said her vision was to build a Women’s Wing where members work together, support one another and create opportunities for women across all regions.
She stressed the need for the party to move beyond election-time mobilisation to a system that promotes continuous training, organisation and development of women at all levels.
She also expressed her readiness to listen to the concerns of women, learn from their experiences and work closely with them to address their needs and strengthen their participation in party activities.

Hon. Mensah believes that empowering women is not only essential to the growth of the NDC but also important to preparing a new generation of women leaders who can contribute meaningfully to the party and national development.
She called on delegates and party members to join her in building a more effective, inclusive and supportive Women’s Wing.
“Let us come together to Renew, Reorganise and Empower!” she urged, expressing confidence that with unity, commitment and the support of delegates, the NDC Women’s Wing could achieve greater progress.
