The insensitiveness of President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamoudu Bawumia led NPP government has resulted in Ghanaian youth to embark on massive demonstration against what has been described as wicked rule in the country’s history.

For the first time in the country’s democratic history, a government indirectly  legalized corruption, nepotism and broad day light stealing. This made former Special Prosecutor, Mr. Martin Amidu to describe the President as MOTHER SERPENT of CORRUPTION, because he could not stand the degree at which corruption was going on unabated.

Government of the NPP led by Akufo-Addo and Bawumia with their appointees are caught looting State lands and giving them to their families and cronies within and outside country.

Just to become President of Ghana,  Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo had deceived the people into voting for him and  his NPP party. And as it stands now, he could not do one-third of what he promised the people of Ghana.

SECTION OF THE DEMONSTRATORS

He led the NPP administration to mess up the ECONOMY right from 2018 and rather kept blaming innocent COVID-19 pandemic and Russia, Ukraine war in their quest to deceive the suffering masses.

Today in Ghana prices of items are skyrocketing due to frequent increases in fuel prices and transportation; making thing very difficult for the people including households across country.

To this effect, the “ARISE GHANA” presented a petition to the Finance Ministry and was received by the 2 Deputy Finance Ministers John Kuma and Abena Osei-Asare.

L – R: ABENA OSEI-ASARE AND JOHN KUMAH, READY RECEIVE THE PETITION.

Bernard Monnah, one of the convenors of ARISE GHANA and some leaders of the Transport Unions presented copy of the petition meant for the Right Hon Speaker Parliament, Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, to the Finance Ministry.

A PLACARD OF A DEMONSTRATOR

Abena Osei-Asare and her colleague, Deputy Finance Minister received their copy of the petition and promised to act on it. She indicated the ministry has started meeting some relevant ministries to look at levies and KILLER taxes on the petroleum products.
