Mark Armah-Attoh, General Secretary, Greater Accra Regional United Cadre Front, UCF has posited that if Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, President of Ghana only drunk calipo to subject Ghanaians to unprecedented difficulties, then imagine what Ghanaians would have been going through if he had taken “wee or cocaine drink”.
Mr. Armah-Attoh made this statement at a get-together organised by La Dade-Kotopon branch of UCF, after the 43rd Commemoration of the June 4th uprising which came off at Teshie Salem Park.
Then candidate Nana Akufo-Addo who was born some 77 years ago from a rich home; prior to the 2016 electioneering campaign, he bought calipo made for children at 70 pesewas to show he was with the downtrodden and committed to rescue the poor in the society.
Mr. Armah-Attoh opined that candidate Nana Akufo-Addo was joined by his running mate, Dr. Mahamoudu Bawumia and they lampooned the hardworking and highly respected President John Dramani Mahama and they called him names and lied that he had a mansion at Dubai with state money meant for development in the country.
This lies and deceit gave the New Patriotic Party, NPP power in 2017 to rule, however their performance exposed them of their shameful incompetence. They knew they have performed abysmally. They rig the 2020 general elections in cahoot with the Ghana’s Electoral Commission, EC, led Jean Mensah, whom Nana Akufo-Addo appointed.
According to Mr. Armah-Attoh, Ghanaians should thank God President Akufo-Addo did not take a drink made of “wee or cocaine”, it would have been worse and the excruciating hardship would have been quadrupled.
The Greater Accra Regional Secretary for UCF further argued that the hardship in the country is real and very scary; something that has never happened in Ghana’s history for decades.
He posited that President Akufo-Addo who has never seen hardship for the past 77 years; but for power he pretended he was coming to rescue the poor and so he was all over the country drinking 70 pesewase calipo under President Mahama in the quest to deceive Ghanaians for their votes.
The Nana Akufo-Addo led NPP government desperately lied their way to power in 2016. In view of this, Mr. Armah-Attoh urged his colleagues Cadre members and party sympathisers not to relent on their efforts this time round to snatch power for the NDC.
He pleaded with all his colleagues Comrade Cadres to listen to former President John Dramani Mahama for once on his call that Cadre members across the country must unite and fight for the NDC to bounce back to power in the 2025.
The Greater Accra Regional UCF Secretary appealed that following the degree at which Ghanaians are calling on the NDC to rescue them, it behooves on the NDC fraternity to work harder to snatch power in 2025, otherwise Ghanaians will be seriously disappointed and the party will be doomed for years.
Addressing the La Dade-Kotopon Cadre’s get-together, Comrade Mark Armah-Attoh hinted amongst other things that the Cadre Corp is working hard to also establish Cadre School to imbibe in the prospective Cadres the principles of social democracy, governance party organisation amongst areas of leadership.
