IN A SHOCKING revelation, Metro TV’s journalist and security analyst, Adib Saani confirms that, 1,210 presidential ballot papers are missing from the Yendi police armory.

The police armory, which is supposed to be the most well guarded and secured place within the whole constituency, was penetrated by someone or a group of people, had access to the bag containing the ballot materials, tore it open and took out 1,210 presidential ballot papers.
Adib Saani reports that, usually, electoral officials meet the leaders of the political parties on the eve of the elections to audit the electoral materials, compare same with that of the Electoral Commission. ‘It was during this auditing process that the they discovered that the said number of presidential ballot papers were missing.

This development casts doubts on the integrity and efficiency of the police for safeguarding and protecting electoral materials and ensuring a peaceful election.
