THE CHIEF Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi, has hosted the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana National Gas Limited Company (Ghana Gas), Ms. Judith Adjoba Blay, during a courtesy call aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.

The visit formed part of efforts to deepen collaboration in support of Ghana’s industrialisation and energy development agenda.
Speaking after the engagement, Dr. Awusi said the discussions centred on the critical role of natural gas infrastructure in driving industrial growth and supporting economic development within the country’s Free Zones enclaves.
According to her, Ghana Gas currently operates natural gas transmission pipelines within the Tema Export Processing Zone and the Sekondi Industrial Park to facilitate the supply of gas for power generation and industrial activities.

She noted that both institutions explored opportunities to enhance cooperation in order to improve energy reliability, support existing and prospective industries within the Free Zones industrial enclaves, and promote future infrastructure development.
The meeting, she added, reaffirmed the commitment of both institutions to building strategic partnerships aimed at boosting industrial productivity, strengthening energy security, and promoting sustainable economic growth in the country.
