THE MEMBER of Parliament for Salaga South in the Northern Region, Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, on Wednesday visited sections of the ongoing Bimbilla–Salaga road project to assess the progress of work.
During the inspection, she toured the Salaga–Sabonjida stretch of the road and observed that the Sabonjida–Kunkaw section has already been successfully tarred. Construction activities are also progressing steadily on the Kunkaw–Nkwanta stretch, where grading and gravel overlay works are currently ongoing.
Speaking after the inspection, Hajia Zuwera Ibrahimah expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work being carried out by the contractors. She praised the efforts being made to improve the road network in the area, describing the project as a major step toward improving transportation and easing movement for residents.

According to the MP, the completion of the road will help boost economic activities, improve access to nearby communities, and strengthen connectivity across the constituency. She added that better roads would also make it easier for farmers, traders, and commuters to travel safely and transport goods more efficiently.
Residents and road users are hopeful that the project, once completed, will bring lasting relief and contribute to the development of the area.
