THE VOLTA Regional Minister, James Gunu, has commissioned three new modern vans to support the work of the Information Services Department at the Volta Regional Co-ordinating Council.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Gunu said the vans will improve the flow of information across the region and help bring government policies closer to the people.

He explained that the first van, assigned to the Central Zone, will be based in Ho and serve districts including Ho, Ho West, Adaklu, Agotime-Ziope, Central Tongu, South Tongu, and North Tongu.

The second van will operate from Kpando for the Northern Zone, covering Kpando, Hohoe, Afadzato South, South Dayi, and North Dayi. Whilst the third van will be stationed at Ketu South to serve the Southern Zone, reaching Ketu South, Ketu North, Akatsi South, Akatsi North, Keta, and Anloga.

According to Hon. Gunu, the new vehicles will help bridge the information gap, reduce the spread of misinformation, and ensure that accurate government information reaches communities across the region.

In addition to the vans, the department also received 19 desktop computers, one laptop, and 19 routers to improve communication and connectivity. Hon. Gunu expressed appreciation to the government for the support and also thanked Mr. Emmanuel Kwasi Domi and his team for their efforts.
