THE MEMBER of Parliament for Salaga-South, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has donated streetlights to Salaga Senior High School to help improve security and visibility on the school campus.
The donation was presented on behave of the MP by the Salaga-South Constituency Chairman, Mr. Abdul Abdul Aziz, popularly known as Chairman Abotsi. The items included five boxes containing ten streetlights, following a formal request from the school to the MP’s office.
While presenting the streetlights, Chairman Abotsi urged the school authorities to ensure they are well used. He reaffirmed the MP’s commitment to supporting Salaga SHS, especially in the areas of infrastructure, teaching, and learning materials, to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Receiving the donation, the Headmaster, Mr. Abubakari Abdul Ganiwu, thanked the MP for her quick response. He described the support as very timely, noting that a school management meeting held earlier that morning had identified the lack of streetlights as a major challenge.

He explained that the campus had been very dark at night and that the new streetlights would greatly improve safety for students and staff. He added that the donation brought great relief to the school community.
Also present were Mr. George Aboagye, Assistant Headmaster (Administration); Alhaji Ibrahim Mumuni, Assistant Headmaster (Academics); and other teaching staff.
