THE Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkwanta North, Hon. John Oti Bless, has donated 1,000 dual desks to Kpassa Senior High Technical School in the Oti Region to help address the shortage of furniture in the institution.
The donation is expected to improve teaching and learning conditions by providing students with adequate furniture and creating a more comfortable environment for academic work.
Speaking at the handing-over ceremony, Hon. Oti Bless reaffirmed his commitment to supporting education and developing human capital in the constituency.
He described education as a key foundation for every child’s future and an important tool for breaking the cycle of poverty.
“Education is key to every child’s life,” he said, adding that he would continue to support educational activities in the area to ensure that students have access to the resources they need to succeed.
The MP also used the occasion to encourage students to take their studies seriously and remain committed to their academic goals.
He noted that although the government and other stakeholders had a responsibility to provide the necessary educational infrastructure, students must also play their part through hard work, discipline and dedication to their studies.
Hon. Oti Bless assured the school management and students of his continued support, stressing that the donation formed part of broader efforts to improve educational standards in the Nkwanta North Constituency.
For its part, the management of Kpassa Senior High Technical School expressed gratitude to the MP for the intervention.
The management said the desks would help ease the pressure on the school’s existing furniture and improve the learning environment for students, particularly as the institution continues to accommodate a growing student population.
The donation is expected to contribute to efforts to improve classroom conditions and support effective teaching and learning at the school.
