THE MEMBER of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan-Cudjoe, has been honoured by the Amenfi Central District Assembly for her outstanding commitment to development and social welfare in the district.

The ceremony, held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, recognised her generosity, compassion, and consistent support for local initiatives, especially in areas of social protection, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.

Empowering the Vulnerable:

One of her most impactful gestures has been her support for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) across the constituency.

A total of 42 beneficiaries received vital resources, including:
– Chest freezers to support small-scale food businesses
– Wheelchairs for improved mobility
– Fufu pounding machines for food production ventures
– Electric sewing machines to promote vocational skills
– Cocoa spraying machines to assist in farming activities
– Cash donations to aid in emergency needs and microenterprises.

Transforming Communities:

Hon. Gyan-Cudjoe’s development footprint spans over 85 key interventions across sectors such as education, healthcare, water, energy, agriculture, and infrastructure. Her proactive efforts have earned her the title “Development Messiah” among constituents.

Education & Healthcare:

In education, she has supported the roofing of school buildings, renovated classroom blocks, and constructed toilet facilities. Her scholarship scheme has provided full sponsorship to 120 basic school pupils and extended financial support to many tertiary students.

In the healthcare sector, the MP has contributed materials for CHPS compound construction, facilitated free medical screenings and surgeries, and provided food and clothing for vulnerable families.

The Amenfi Central District Assembly praised her for her exceptional leadership and for demonstrating how public service can directly transform lives. Hon. Joana Gyan-Cudjoe continues to inspire hope and progress throughout the district.
