PRINPAG PRESIDENT – ELECT, DAVID SITDOPE TAMAKLO.

THE ELECTORAL Commission (EC) of Ghana has lauded the Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) for its exemplary conduct during the just-ended National Executive Elections held in Accra.

The elated EC Prediding Officer, Mr. Samuel Dottoh Kwaah, expressed deep admiration for the high level of discipline, cooperation, and democratic maturity demonstrated by PRINPAG members throughout the electoral process.

He described the atmosphere of the elections as “stress-free, transparent, and truly uplifting,” noting that, despite the competitiveness of the polls, all parties involved conducted themselves with admirable decorum and mutual respect.

Mr. Kwaah particularly commended the efforts of the PRINPAG Elections Committee for their organisational efficiency and proactive collaboration with the EC.

He also praised the candidates and their agents for fostering a spirit of tolerance and understanding that contributed to the peaceful outcome of the elections.

“The professionalism and civility exhibited by PRINPAG throughout this process are commendable and worth emulating,” he remarked. “This is a shining example of how internal democratic processes within professional associations should be conducted.”

The EC’s commendation adds to the growing recognition of PRINPAG’s commitment to strengthening governance and leadership within the media sector, setting a strong precedent for future electoral exercises within the association.
