Hon. Cecilia Asaga, Patron, Greater Accra Regional Zango Caucus wishes all Moslem brothers and sisters across Ghana happy Eidul-Adha.
Eid al-Adha is considered to mean “Festival of Sacrifice“, and its celebrated in honor of Prophet Ibrahim’s loyalty to Allah. As told in the Qur’an, Ibrahim dreamt he was ordered by Allah to sacrifice his son Ishmael.
Moslems across the country are celebrating Eid al-Adha today, July 9, 2022 which has to do with sacrifice to Almighty Allah, in the form of slaughtering sheep, cows or camel for Allah blessings in diverse ways.
It was noted that Eid al-Adha marks the culmination of the hajj (pilgrimage) rites at Minā, Saudi Arabia, near Mecca, but is celebrated by Muslims throughout the world.
Following all this, the Zango Caucus, Greater Accra Region, Madam Cecilia Asaga reiterated her wish to all Moslem brothers and sisters a Eid-al-Adha.
