One of the Organisational wing of the National Democratic Congress, NDC in the Greater Accra Region dubbed Zango Caucus has donated a few items to a renowned hospital in Ghana over the weekend.
Ismaila Horoya Ali, the Coordinator, Greater Accra Regional NDC Zango Caucus made the donation on the back of the usual calls for support by the Psychiatric hospital at Asylum down in Accra.
The Greater Accra NDC Zango Caucus Coordinator made the donation to the hospital as a token to support the hospital to continue with their good services they always provide to the inmates and the general public.
He donated close to ten (10) pieces of mattresses, Bine – 20 disinfectants, 2 boxes of Cuzy – lemon fresh and Cuzy Antiiseptics. Horoya added about 15 pieces plastic buckets and mats amongst other things.
The Greater Accra Regional NDC Zango Caucus Coordinator, argued that his party NDC sees donation to institutions such as psychiatric as part of its characteristics, hence his gesture.
He also mentioned that the hospital has been doing so much that it behooves on people and philanthropists continue to help the hospital to improve on it services to the general public.
Ismaila Horoya further argued that the psychiatric hospital is not made only for “mad people” but anyone who has psychological problems or mental illness that needs psychiatric attention.
Miss Mary Sarfo with the Public Relations Directorate of the Psychiatric Hospital, Asylum down was pleased with the gesture the NDC Greater Accra Zango Caucus Coordinator, Horoya presented to them.
With the support of a Senior Nurse, Madam Jocinta Kufe, Madam Sarfo appealed to the general public, philanthropists and all other well to-do Ghanaians to also come over with support whilst she received the items from Ismaila Horoya Ali, Greater Accra Regional Zango Caucus Coordinator.
