FORMER National Executive Committee (NEC) member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Sheriff Abdul-Nasiru has joined the people of Hohoe in the Volta Region to campaign for former President John Dramani Mahama.
Prior to joining the Hohoe constituency NDC, Alhaji Sheriff helped some other Parliamentary Candidates (PCs) in their various constituencies in the region to also campaign to canvass for more votes for the former President and the PCs there.
At Hohoe, he partner the NDC PC, Efo Wolanyo Tsekpo to criss-cross the Constituency campaigning to maximise votes in order to recover the seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Hon. Member of Parliament (MP), Peter Amewu.
The NPP through Mr. Amewu snatch the parliamentary seat from the NDC in the last 2020 elections; this was on the back of voter apathy coupled with heavy money influence where the electorates voted skirt and blouse.
In a telephone interview with Nationaltymes.com, Alhaji Sheriff opined that the governing NPP has messed up everything about the economy, plunging Ghana into heavy debts portfolio without developmental projects to comensorate the loans contracted both locally and internationally.
Alhaji Sheriff Abdul-Nasiru asserted that as electorates navigate to elections 2024, it behooves upon every former national executive members to avail themselves to help in diverse ways to rescue and reset Ghana.
He stressed on the fact that the Nana Akufo-Addo, Mahamudu Bawumia led NPP administration brought untold hardship into the country.
He indicated that Ghana could bear witness to the fact that everyone in the country is crying for money due to hardship and suffering Akufo-Addo and Bawumia government bestowed on the people.
To this effect, Alhaji Sheriff Abdul-Nasiru appealed to the electorates across the country to vote the unbrella on the ballot for JM, and vote for all the NDC PCs to help to reset Ghana.
