THE NATIONAL Coordinator of the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP), Hajia Fati Forgor, has led a high-level delegation from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund on a joint monitoring exercise aimed at strengthening the implementation of the School Feeding Programme.

The exercise was conducted on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Flagstaff House Basic School in the Accra. The school has benefited from the feeding programme since its introduction in September 2005, marking 20 years of continuous participation.
The delegation included Adrian Alter, Robert Chase, Cornelia Tesliuc, Esther Zaharatu Mahama, Akyere Frimpong Manu and Siiba Alfa, together with other officials from the Greater Accra Regional office of the Programme.


The team interacted with the Head Teacher of the school, Esther Konadu Obiri-Ansu, to discuss ways of improving the implementation of the feeding programme and enhancing its impact on pupils.
During the visit, Hajia Fati Forgor highlighted a number of innovative measures being introduced by the GSFP to improve efficiency and ensure the long-term sustainability of the social intervention programme.


The monitoring exercise also provided an opportunity for discussions between the GSFP and its development partners on the current state of the programme and possible areas of support to further strengthen school feeding across the country.
