THE MEMBER of Parliament for Salaga South, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has provided relief support to 14 communities in the Kpembe, Salaga, Kulaw, and Kafaba areas after a severe rainstorm caused widespread damage.
The storm, which hit on Monday, 23rd March 2026, destroyed homes, schools, and other public buildings, leaving many residents displaced. The damage is estimated to cost thousands of Ghana cedis.
The affected communities are Kpembe, Salaga, Sisipe, Nkwanta, Kunkaw, Sikape, Kijewu Battor, Kijewu Gonja, Kigbatito, Kiyange, Telkpa, Klor, Mataheko, and Adevokpe.
To support victims, the MP donated 20 packets of roofing sheets and GHS 70,000. The items and funds have been shared among affected residents to help them rebuild their homes and recover from the disaster.
On Wednesday, 8th April 2026, the MP, together with the Constituency Chairman and officials from the Municipal NADMO office, visited Klor, Mataheko, and Nakpagali to present the relief items.
During the visit, she met with residents and assured them of her continued support. She also announced that she will fully fund the repair of damaged school buildings in Klor and Mataheko. She said a team will begin work immediately to ensure pupils return to safe classrooms when school resumes.

Earlier, the MP had sent the Constituency Chairman and NADMO officials to visit the affected communities on 24th and 28th March to assess the damage and support victims.
Some residents, including Mr. Inusah Iddisa from Klor and Madam Yahaya Memunatu from Kigbatito, thanked the MP for her quick response and support. They praised her kindness and commitment, and pledged their continued support.
