HON. EDUCATION MINISTER, LAWYER HARUNA IDDRISU.

AS THOUSANDS of students across the country gear up for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), the National Council of Parent-Teacher Associations (NCPTA) has sent a powerful message of support and encouragement to candidates and key stakeholders involved in this pivotal academic milestone.

In a statement signed by the NCPTA National Public Relations Officer, Ms. Felicity Ahafianyo, the council expressed pride in the students’ dedication and offered heartfelt best wishes for a successful examination.

“To All BECE 2025 Candidates”

The NCPTA urged candidates to remain calm, confident, and focused. “May your hard work and dedication shine through. Read each instruction carefully, manage your time wisely, and trust in your preparation – you’ve got this!” the statement encouraged.

Support for Invigilators

Acknowledging the essential role of invigilators, the NCPTA emphasized the importance of early arrival, clear communication of exam rules, and vigilant monitoring of the examination process to uphold its integrity. “Your vigilance and professionalism are crucial, and your service is deeply appreciated.”

Appreciation for Educators

To the teaching and non-teaching staff, the NCPTA extended deep gratitude for their unwavering support. Educators were encouraged to help students stay composed, reinforce exam strategies, and offer emotional support throughout the examination period.

Call to External Invigilators and Security Personnel

External supervisors and security staff were reminded of their responsibility to ensure exam materials are properly handled and all procedures followed. “Your impartiality and professionalism ensure the credibility of this national exercise,” the council noted.

Message to Parents and Guardians

Recognizing the vital role of families, the NCPTA encouraged parents to foster a peaceful home environment, ensure adequate rest and nutrition for their children, and provide steady encouragement. “Your love and guidance are invaluable,” the statement read.

Commending WAEC

The Council also extended its appreciation to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) for its efforts in administering the exams. It expressed hope for a smooth, fair process free from cancellations or delays, with results students can be proud of.

As the 2025 BECE begins, the NCPTA’s message resonates as a collective call for unity, responsibility, and support for the next generation of leaders.
