Local Gov’t Minister Reaffirms Commitment to Unity and Due Process Amid MCE Nomination Dev. At La

HON. DEPUTY Local Government Minister, Madam Rita Naa Odoley Sowah overseeing the MCE nomination process has reaffirmed her commitment to transparency, unity, and institutional integrity regarding disapproval of the President nominee.

Whiles a section of La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly members have expressed concerns about nominee-related issues, the Minister has maintained a neutral and respectful posture.

Contrary to speculations, it was noted that no financial arrangements concerning the assembly members were sanctioned or directed by the Deputy Minister.

She remains focused on promoting fairness and to follow due process in all dealings involving the Assembly.

Hon. Naa Odoley Sowah has called for calm among party members, especially at the constituency level, where unity is crucial for effective governance.

The Deputy Minister also welcomed the input of the bipartisan Assembly members and indicated that continues engagement with Assembly Members is crutial to arrive at consensus in endorsing His Excellency John Dramani Mahama’s, nominee.

In interview with Nationaltymes.com, she further appealed that, “our collective goal must be to serve the people. We must rise above personal differences and work together to strengthen our Municipality and local governance structures.”
