
IN A SIGNIFICANT move to rally traditional support for Ghana’s agricultural transformation agenda, Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor, Director of the Presidential Initiatives in Agriculture and Agribusiness (PIAA), paid a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, earlier this week.
The visit was part of Dr. Otokunor’s efforts to formally introduce the newly established office and share the broader vision of H.E. John Dramani Mahama for transforming Ghana’s economy through agriculture and agribusiness.

During the meeting, Dr. Otokunor outlined the key objectives of the PIAA and emphasized the initiative’s role in creating jobs, empowering youth and boosting national economic growtemphasize sustainable agricultural practices.

His Royal Majesty, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, on his part, welcomed the initiative and expressed strong support for the government’s renewed focus on agriculture.
He praised the commitment of President Mahama to the growth of the sector, noting its potential to significantly impact livelihoods and spur nationwide development.


The engagement marks a strategic step in building traditional and community-based partnerships to drive the success of Ghana’s agricultural revival under the “ResettingGhana agenda”.
