THE COMPROMISE CHIEF JUSTICE OF GHANA, HER LADYSHIP GERTRUDE TORKORNOO

I DIDN’T SAY IT. It was the former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo, who said Ghana’s Supreme Court has become too predictable. Hon. Ken. Dapaah, National Security Coordinator has also said that the judiciary is too biased towards the government. These statements meant if an NPP goes to court, any Ghanaian can predict outcome of the case.

The Judges ruled that the birth certificate is not a legal document to proof Ghanaian citizenship. Meanwhile, the birth certificate is the base document to acquire both the Ghanaian passport and the Ghana card. Someone should test the legitimacy of these two documents.

The Supreme Court stopped Hon. Gyakye Quayson from representing the people of Assin North for several months but couldn’t let three NPP MPs miss parliament for just 24 hours. Meanwhile, a Judge in Techiman North, didn’t see the need for the people there to miss their representation, so while the case was on-going, the MP was going to parliament alright. How did a lower court become more sensible than the Supreme Court?

In their reckless decision to satisfy the personal interest of Hon. Afenyo-Markin, parliament is currently closed down. I stated in one of my articles that Hon. Afenyo-Markin ran to the Supreme Court for all the reasons except for an interpretation of Article 97 (1) (g and h). Last week, he told us he wants to be called the Majority Leader because that is spiritual.

THE AUTHOR: DR  LAWRENCE APPIAH, FOUNDER OF THE DIASPORA PROGRESSIVE MOVEMENT ( DPM).

The people of SALL didn’t have representation in parliament for four years but this same Supreme Court didn’t see anything wrong with it. If SALL had been in the NPP stronghold, would they be left as orphans like that? If the majority of Ghanaians don’t wake up early enough, one day, this Supreme Court will throw the constitution away in the name of interpretation.

Dear voter, we need to reset the judiciary by first resetting the Supreme Court. Don’t think the decisions by the Supreme Court don’t affect you, so you don’t care. If we don’t reset it now, they will one day decide on something that will significantly hurt you. They already took your birth rights away.

THE EXPECTED PRESIDENT IN 2025, PRESIDENT JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA.

This is why you should vote massively for John Dramani  Mahama and the NDC on December 7. We need to find out what is at the Supreme Court that has gotten them confused and dangerous. We must reset Ghana.

Vote for Number 8, and

Vote for the Umbrella.

Aba no, Mahama afa.

Dr. Lawrence Appiah is the Founder of the Diaspora Progressive Movement (DPM) in USA.
