A BUSINESS tycoon based in Lower Manya Krobo in the Eastern Region of Ghana, Kenneth Ted-Tetteh has promised to donate Ghc50,000 for the construction of a permanent constituency party office for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the area.
Ted-Tetteh who has been described as a hard working young man and generous, has been supporting party activities in the area, and he has indicated that is high time the branch of the NDC in Lower Manya Krobo boast of a Constituency office complex of its own.
Kenneth Ted-Tetteh affectionately called “Sir Johnny”, made the promise in an interaction with the Members of the Constituency Executive Committee to put down Ghc50,000 as seed money to start the construction of the party office complex.
Sir Johnny who has started nursing his ambition to contest for the parliamentary candidate position, hinted that there are well-meaning party members out there who would like to contribute their widow’s might towards the building of this NDC office in the constituency.
To this, he challenged the Executive members to go out there to identify these NDC sympathisers who are in the position and eveready to contribute to the construction of the party office.
He hinted that with this office complex in place, the Constituency could save some more money for another equally important party work.
Sir Johnny further suggested that the Executive Committee should invite all NDC comrades to also donate towards the project. “No matter how small is the donation it will help”, he said; he added saying, “….the party leadership must open up to allow every party person from the branch level, constituency, and beyond, including philanthropists to support this project”.
He appeals to the Executive Committee Members to put aside their individuals interest going into the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary primaries, and rather prioritise fund raising towards the office project. “This would demonstrate your willingness and readiness to have new party office complex”, Sir Johnny advised.
