The Paramount Chief of the Prampram Traditional Area in the Greater Accra Region, Nene Tetteh Wakah III, has admonished the chiefs and the people of Ada to stop the “pull-him/her-down attitude” for the development of the area.
He made the call during the Thanksgiving Service at the Asafotufiam debur grounds last Sunday where he chaired the event and emphasized that unity plays key role in development in both human and infrastructure.
Many people at the Thanksgiving Service described the call by the Young Prampram Chief, Nene Tetteh Wakah III, as appropriate following an information alleging that some Asafoatsɛmɛi connived to stop a whole Ohuewem clan/bii from renewing their lengience to Nene Ada, Nene Abram Kabu Akuanku III for no apparent reason.
The alleged connivance to stop Ohuewem beomɛi from taken their turn to also renew their allegiance has raised lots of confusion where the clan’s Asafoatsɛmɛi had threatened to leave the grounds last Saturday whilst the event was going on but for extensive pleadings.
The Prampram Paramount Chief, Nene Tetteh Wakah III, has also iterated that God has blessed Ada with resources such as white gold, ie. salt and many other tourist centres that could help fetch Ada lots of money for development.
Nene Prampram appealed to the chiefs and the people of Ada especially the youth to reconsider and to settle any feud between them and Electrokem belonging to Daniel McKorley aka McDan for him to help transform the songor salt mining area amongst other places in Ada.
According to him, the last time he visited the songor mining site in recent times he saw some gradual changes coming to the area believing it’s through the corporate responsibility of the Electrokem Ghana Limited. He cited seeing street lights in the community where the songor is.
To this effect, he pleaded that the chiefs and the people, including the youth to come together to resolve the problem amicably and once and for all.
Nene Tetteh Wakah III, saluted the organising committee of the Asafotufiami for making the Scintillating festival successful and very attractive especially when there festival was on hold for 3 years due to the effect of COVID-19 pandemic.
