Former PresidentJohn Dramani Mahama and flag-bearer of the opposition National Democrstic Congress, NDC, has appealed to the chiefs in the country to be bold to tell the New Patriotic Party, NPP of their violent acts in the country.
According to John Mahama, chiefs have a say in advising politicians on peace and stability in Ghana but they should be bold to tell the NPP to stop their violent acts since they are guilty of that.
The former president was also worried about several violence that characterized the just ended voter registration that resulted in the death of people at Banda and Nkrankwanta . He argued that this is unprecedented as it has never occurred in Ghana that mere voter registration is marred by violence.
The General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia also advised the cocoa farmers to fill every form to get the fertilizers the government is selling to them but the next NDC government would not let them pay for the fertilizers when they assume office in January, 2021.
Johnson Asiedu assured the police service of all resources needed to make them work efficiently as the future NDC government will not control and manipulate them as the current government is doing to them. He also promised of increasing the number of police officers and make them resourceful.
