La Dade-Kotopon Constituency branch of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has Inaugurated about 22 member campaign team to help in the NDC rescue mission.
This rescue mission which would be replicated in other wards in the area are charged to campaign to maximize votes for both Presidential and Parliamentary to catapult President John Mahama and Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah to form next government in 2021.
The inauguration shows Rita Naa Odoley Sowah who was the first Municipal Chief Executive, MCE for La Dade-Kotopon has the competency to represent the people of La better than the clueless ruling NPP.
During her tenure as the MCE Hon. Rita was gradually transforming LaDMA where she lobbied to get an edifice for office complex for the Assembly, which today the NPP arrogated to themselves the conference Hall for their party activities instead of strictly Assembly or state functions.
The quests speakers who took turns to address crowed further hinted that Hon. Rita Naa Odoley raised funds through Internal Generated Fund (IGF) for the fencing of the La Public Cemetery and other projects in La Municipality.
The former MCE who shows competence fenced most of the La schools to protect the school children, and provided toilet facilities for the schools and she changed all the black boards to whites marker boards in all La schools for good teaching and learning.
The inauguration further revealed the former MCE, now NDC Parliamentary Candidate, PC constructed walk-ways by some roads to help prevent accidents. The project which supposed to continue stops because the NDC exited power to virtually incompetent ruling pair of hands.
The crowd which converged at La Mantiase to listen to wisdom were amazed to hear Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah took close to two years to started the construction of La market complex which was about 89% complete when exiting power in 2017; and for four (4) years now the NPP under Nana Addo are struggling to compete the market.
Urging the newly Inaugurated La Mantiase Ward Campaign team and other teams yet to be launched, Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, the NDC PC appealed that they beef up their campaign and enter anywhere to convince even those with NPP, most whom may want to see NDC come to encouragement them to properly change their minds and vote for JM and Odoley.
She tasked the team to use the People’s Manifesto a lot because it happens to be a troubling document for Nana Addo led ruling NPP who lacks a “manifesto” that could sell their party.
Hon. Rita Naa Odoley hinted there are lots of opportunities under the next John Mahama led NDC government. She promised to support the youth who have great interest in sports, football etc. to excel in that chosen career to enable them to also support their families.
Hon. Rita, alias Nye Awo Kpakpa indicated supporting other youth with ICT library for them to be IT gurus to become useful both to their families and themselves if she is given the mandate to represent La in parliament amongst other things.
The former hard worker-holic La MCE reiterated her pledge to ensure the vulnerable, especially the old age and People With Disabilities (PWDs) in La, as next MP would register them with the NHIS to enable them use the card for major healthcare whilst the free primary healthcare await all.
She also had a rousing sheers when she mentioned considering an arrangement for doctors both locally and abroad to organise free eye screening for La.
Edem Aniamador, La NDC Secretary appealed to every registered voter in the La Dade-Kotopon to try to go check for their names at the various exhibition centers because the Jean Mensah, Bossman Asare led EC cannot be trusted.
He suspected President Akuffo-Addo intentionally brought this new crop of Electoral Commissioners purposely to disenfranchise voters in NDC strongholds including La to rig the elections for him, hence the EC’s various schemes. Addition, he noted lots of voters in La did not go to check for their names and do corrections when necessary.
They informed La electorates that one of the NPP strategy is to use money in this 2020 elections, therefore they must not allow themselves to be deceived with money, but could collect the money and still go ahead to vote against Nana Addo and NPP.
