The Electrotes of the Okaikwei South Constituency in the Greater Accra Region have pledged to reciprocate NDC health screening massively with votes in the upcoming 2020 general elections.
The people who patronised the health screening the opposition NDC in the area organised indicated that close 24 years it was first time a political party in the area organised such screening since Ghana returns into a civilian.
Young and aged were mostly those who appeared for the free healthcare followed by children who were also screened and they were impressed with the medicines they received after. Those with serious cases were referred.
In a random interview with National Tymes, some of the patients hinted the National Health Insurance card (NHI) does not work well for hospitals to give them the kind of medicines they received for free after they were screened.
According to them, though, their cards have not expired, the hospitals they attend do not give them the kind of attention they have received during the screening in addition to the medicines.
The NDC Vice chairman for Kaneshie 1 & 4 Primary School (7) branch also called “Heni Oyor Jen Oyor” at the Okaikwei South, Kwesi Ofosu Asare argued that the kind of people who patronised the health screening shows they are really not healthy and want such a free primary healthcare.
“Look at the youth and the aged who have come out in their numbets to access primary healthcare. No wander our former President John Dramani Mahama promised Ghanaians better primary healthcare for free”, Asare Ofosu added.
He said governance is not about plenty talks, but how the people would resonate well with what is happening regarding their situations and conditions.
Chairman Ernest Adomako, aka ‘Kiyon’, ‘Heni Oyor Jen Oyor’ branch, provided all the needed drugs the doctors would need for the health screening.
Close to 1000 people irrespective of their political collours patronised the free health screening, where three young doctors, two nurses and two pharmacists attended to the happy electorates.
