
The Government of Ghana has commenced discussions with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on the country’s 2025 Budget, focusing on economic reforms and financial stability.
The meetings, which will run from February 10 to 14, are being led by IMF Mission Chief for Ghana, Stéphane Roudet.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Finance, the discussions will assess Ghana’s progress under the IMF-supported programme and review key policy directions for the 2025 Budget.
Other critical topics on the agenda include revenue administration reforms, energy sector policies, expenditure rationalization and monetary and exchange rate strategies.

Institutions such as the Bank of Ghana, Ghana Revenue Authority, and the Controller and Accountant General’s Department are expected to participate in the talks.
The government has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring macroeconomic stability, job creation and improved livelihoods for Ghanaians.
