Okudzeto Ablakwa Exposes NPP MPs Over False Claims on His Residence

FOREIGN AFFAIRS Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has once again demonstrated his political acumen, dismantling the false narratives peddled against him by some NPP Members of Parliament.

In what can only be described as a masterstroke, Ablakwa has debunked claims made by former Defence Minister and Bimbilla MP, Dominic Nitiwul, who alleged on the floor of Parliament that the minister and his wife resided in a four-plot palatial property at Airport Hills.

Ablakwa’s revelation? The property in question is actually a one-plot land measuring 0.29 acres – far from the exaggerated claims made by his detractors. Moreover, the actual owner is Husni Atheelbeh, a Ghanaian domiciled abroad, from whom Ablakwa rented the property. This directly contradicts allegations by NPP elements that he owned the house through his sister.

But perhaps the most stinging exposure was directed at Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin, whose credibility took a major hit. During an interview on TV3, Ablakwa suggested that the Minority Leader had failed in his due diligence, casting doubt on his competence.

HON. SAMUEL OKUDZETO ABLAKWA, MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS AND REGIONAL INTEGRATION.

On the issue of MPs’ salaries, Ablakwa also set the record straight, countering Afenyo-Markin’s claim that MPs earn GH₵15,000. According to him, all MPs – including those from the NPP – knew the Minority Leader was being untruthful. He revealed that MPs actually earn far more, with additional rent and allowances but deliberately misrepresented the figures to the public.

With this exposé, Ablakwa has not only cleared his name but also laid bare the misinformation tactics used against him.

The Foreign Minister’s bold and factual rebuttals continue to cement his reputation as a sharp-witted political figure who will not allow falsehoods to go unchallenged.
