THE Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kadjebi Akan, Eric Kwadwo Apeadu, has appealed to party members to remain united as the party prepares to elect new branch executives.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Mr. Apeadu urged branch executives and members to conduct themselves peacefully during the elections, stressing that unity is more important than individual ambitions.
“Leadership positions are temporary, but the party and the people will always remain,” he said. “Let us compete with ideas, not insults or hostility. We need unity, peace and mutual respect if we are to build a stronger party.”
Mr. Apeadu said internal elections should strengthen, rather than divide, the party. According to him, disagreements and personal interests must not be allowed to undermine the NDC’s collective goal of serving the people and retaining political power.
“A divided party cannot win, and a divided constituency cannot prosper,” he stated. “When we work together, we achieve far more than when we allow personal differences to take over.”
He noted that his appeal extends beyond branch executives to every member of the party in the constituency, urging all supporters to put the interest of the NDC first.
Mr. Apeadu said maintaining peace and unity during the reorganisation process would position the party strongly for the 2028 general election and future political contests.

He encouraged members to focus on the party’s long-term vision and avoid actions that could create unnecessary divisions.
“As we approach the branch elections, let us remember that a united party is a strong party, and a united constituency is better placed to deliver development for its people,” he said.
The NDC is currently undertaking nationwide internal elections to elect branch, constituency and national executives as part of efforts to strengthen the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
