THE MEMBER of Parliament for Ekumfi, Hon. Dr. Othniel Ekow Kwainoe, has led a delegation of Korean investors on a familiarization tour of the Ekumfi Constituency to explore investment opportunities aimed at promoting local development.
The visit began with a courtesy call on the Omanhene of the Ekumfi Traditional Council, Odeefo Akyin. During the meeting, traditional leaders expressed their support for credible investments that would bring jobs and development to the area.

Dr. Kwainoe said the tour was part of efforts to attract investors who are interested in value addition, industrial growth, and sustainable development within the constituency.
The delegation visited several key locations, including Akyin Senior High School, where discussions focused on the potential of the area’s youthful population and the need for skills development to support industrial growth.
The team also toured the Srafa Aboano Salt Site, where conversations centered on improving production through value addition and expanding operations to make Ekumfi more competitive in the salt industry.

As part of the visit, the investors were taken to the Otuam Model Clinic and the Narkwa Polyclinic. Dr. Kwainoe highlighted the importance of strengthening healthcare infrastructure through partnerships to support community well-being and development.
Another major stop was the Ekumfi Juice Factory (Ekujuice) and its farms. Management of the facility expressed interest in working with investors to expand production and create employment opportunities for residents.

The tour ended at Narkwa Beach, where discussions explored opportunities in tourism, hospitality, and coastal development. Dr. Kwainoe described the visit as productive, saying Ekumfi is open to partnerships that will drive economic growth and improve the livelihoods of its people.
