A LEADING supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), nike-named Phalonzy, has strongly condemned what he describes as a false and malicious publication by the online platform GHANA TODAY, accusing the outlet of deliberately spreading fake news to create confusion and tension within the party.
According to him, the publication falsely attributed offensive and unprintable comments to Mr. Mantse Ayitey and wrongly claimed the remarks were directed at Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and the National Chairman of the NDC, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia.
Phalonzy insisted that the claims are completely false and should be treated as deliberate propaganda intended to damage reputations and sow division within the NDC party.
“This is not journalism. It is propaganda packaged as news,” he stated, stressing that the publication was a calculated attempt to distract the NDC from its core mission and ongoing Reset Agenda.
He argued that the story bears the hallmarks of political misinformation designed to create cracks within the party where none exist. Despite the alleged attempts to stir controversy, Phalonzy maintained that the NDC remains united, focused and committed to rebuilding the country.
For the avoidance of doubt, he clarified that Hon. Julius Debrah has not inaugurated any campaign team, nor appointed Mr. Mantse Ayitey as a spokesperson or representative. He further dismissed claims that appointments had been made from the Office of the Chief of Staff as entirely false and misleading.

Phalonzy also explained that the statement currently being circulated online was never directed at the NDC National Chairman, as widely alleged. According to him, the comments were rather aimed at former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and any attempt to twist the narrative was a deliberate effort to inflame tensions within the party.
He therefore called on GHANA TODAY to desist from spreading misinformation and uphold the ethics of responsible journalism. “The truth cannot be hidden forever. Those behind this false narrative will eventually be exposed before the Ghanaian people and held accountable,” he stressed.
Phalonzy concluded by assuring supporters that the NDC remains strong, united and unshaken in its resolve to pursue its vision for Ghana despite what he described as politically motivated propaganda and distractions.
