THE MUNICIPAL Chief Executive (MCE) for Nkwanta South, Hon. Joseph Antwi Awal, has begun a series of community visits aimed at strengthening ties with residents and addressing their concerns.
The initiative has been widely welcomed as a positive move toward growth and development across the municipality. As part of the tour, the MCE visited Brewaniase, where he met with traditional authorities and community leaders. The engagement provided a platform for local leaders to share their challenges and discuss practical solutions to improve living conditions in the area.

During the meeting, Hon. Joseph Antwi Awal stressed the importance of peace, unity, and cooperation in driving development. He encouraged traditional leaders to work closely with the Municipal Assembly to tackle pressing issues affecting their communities.
According to him, collaboration between local authorities and the Assembly is key to achieving lasting progress. Infrastructure remains one of the major challenges facing many communities in Nkwanta South. The MCE acknowledged concerns about poor roads, limited access to electricity, and inadequate water supply.

He assured residents that the Assembly is committed to working with the appropriate agencies to improve these basic services. Strengthening infrastructure, he noted, will not only improve living standards but also attract businesses and investment to the area.
In addition, the MCE outlined plans to enhance ongoing projects and introduce new initiatives focused on education, healthcare, and job creation. He emphasized that investing in people and creating opportunities for the youth are essential steps toward sustainable development.

Hon. Joseph Antwi Awal also called on residents to actively participate in the development of their communities. He urged them to take ownership of projects and be involved in decision-making processes, stressing that community participation is vital for long-term success.
The visits have renewed hope among residents, who see the MCE’s direct engagement as a sign of responsive and inclusive leadership. Many believe this hands-on approach marks the beginning of meaningful change for the municipality.

The recent outreach efforts highlight a clear commitment to building a stronger and more united Nkwanta South. By listening to the people and working together with local leaders, the MCE has taken an important step toward shaping a brighter future for the municipality.
