YOUNG journalist Mispa Sekyibea Apem Darko has encouraged media professionals in Ghana to consider farming as a supplementary source of income, describing agriculture as a reliable path to financial stability.

She made the call during an interview with Elder Isaac Mensah on Oman FM at her one-acre rice farm in Obrayeko, in the Awutu Senya West Municipality. Mispa noted that while journalism is fulfilling, relying solely on media work may not guarantee long-term security.
According to her, farming offers sustainable income and supports personal and family development. She urged Ghanaian youth, especially those in the media space, to explore agriculture as a viable career option.

Her rice farm, she said, reflects her commitment to agriculture and her desire to inspire others.
