THE Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has given important updates following the signing of agreements for the 1447/2026 Hajj in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The agreement was signed by Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf, Nawaf bin Mohamed Al Maawda, and the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah, during the 5th Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition.

Minister Al Maawda thanked King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their continuous support to pilgrims worldwide.
He praised the Ministry of Hajj and the Pilgrims Experience Programme (PEP) for organizing a successful forum focused on innovation and improved service delivery.
He stated that the 2026 Hajj will adopt modern systems to enhance pilgrim experience. Over 50 speakers and 10 panel sessions are discussing key topics such as infrastructure, digital tools, and media use in Hajj.

The PAOG urges all stakeholders to stay informed as preparations intensify.
The conference also focuses on five key areas:
1. Organizing Hajj and Umrah
2. Serving Allah’s guests
3. Crowd management
4. Transport and healthcare
5. Digital transformation in guidance and documentation.
A side exhibition titled “A Century of Care for the Two Holy Mosques” is also ongoing, displaying historic documents, photographs, tools, and digital content, highlighting the evolution of Hajj services.
The forum reflects a strong commitment to quality, safety, and heritage in Hajj organization.
