
IN A HIGH-level visit to the Anlo Traditional Council, a delegation led by top government officials and party leaders paid homage to Togbi Sri III, the Awomefia of Anlo, at his palace in Anloga.
The team, which included the Council of State Member for Volta Region, His Eminence Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah‑Atokple, Volta Regional NDC Chairman Mr. Mawutor Agbavitor, and several key figures from the Regional Coordinating Council and party leadership, expressed gratitude for the traditional authority’s continuous support and pledged to deepen development in Anlo and across the Volta Region.


Togbi Sri III used the opportunity to deliver a bold message to the government. He called for swift action on major developmental priorities including:
- Establishing a School of Pharmacy in Anloga
- Completing the long-awaited Keta Port
- Improving road networks and essential services in the area
He also urged reforms to the Chieftaincy Act to restore the rightful structure of traditional kingdoms in Ghana.

The visit was described as productive and respectful, reinforcing a growing partnership between the Anlo State and the Mahama-led administration.


Leaders pledged to follow through on the concerns raised, with a renewed focus on delivering tangible results for the people of the Volta Region.
