ALHAJI Abdul-Salaam Zeebah, the NDC’s Zango Caucus Coordinator in the United States, has encouraged Zango youth across Ghana to take full advantage of the newly launched 24-Hour Economy initiative by President John Dramani Mahama.
In an interview with Nationaltymes.com, Alhaji Zeebah described the policy as a game-changer that will create jobs and open new doors for Ghanaian youth, especially in underserved communities like the Zangos.
He urged young people to equip themselves with vocational and technical skills, such as carpentry, masonry, electrical work, welding, and mechanics, in order to benefit fully from the shift-based employment model.

“Even in the US and Europe, you need a skill to earn a decent job. Gone are the days when you could travel and find work easily without any profession,” he said.
Alhaji Zeebah also cautioned the youth against drug abuse, stating that substance addiction destroys potential and makes it nearly impossible to secure employment. “No serious company will hire a drug addict. You’re better off staying clean and focusing on your future,” he advised.

He emphasized that with a skill or trade, every youth can build a secure and prosperous future, urging them not to miss the opportunities that the 24-Hour Economy presents.
