THE MEMBER of Parliament for South Tongu, Hon. Maxwell KWAME Lukutor, has reaffirmed his commitment to the development of the Dalive-Torzikpota Electoral Area during the sixth Community Engagement Meeting (CEM 6) held with Assembly Member Hon. Peter Narteh.

As part of a “Thank You Tour,” the MP joined Hon. Narteh in visiting Yorve, Adidokpoe, Torzikpota, Wetorkor, and Dalive communities under the “Field Organization Drive.” The initiative is designed to strengthen grassroots participation and promote growth.

Hon. Lukutor expressed appreciation for the community’s strong support in the 2024 elections, where the NDC secured over 90% of the votes. He promised to advocate for their needs and stressed that development should be based on structured government policies, not only individual contributions.

He also shared recent government achievements:

  • 5.3% economic growth in Q1 of 2025
  • Drop in inflation from 22.4% to 21.2%
  • Nearly 19% appreciation of the Ghana cedi

The MP pledged support for agriculture by promising four tractors per zone and assured continued engagement with traditional leaders and residents to advance both physical and economic development in the area.

Residents praised the Member of Parliament’s (MP’s) transparency and dedication to solving local issues.
