The Legislator for the people of Afram Plains South Constituency in the Eastern Region, Hon. Joseph Appiah Boateng has led the Eastern Regional National Democratic Congress, NDC delegation to the hinterlands to educate party faithful there.
As part of the National Executive Committee’s (NEC’s) decision of the NDC, to reach out to every branch in the various constituencies, to educate members of the NDC on the upcoming internal elections.
Among the delegation were the Acting Eastern Regional Secretary, Cudjoe Adukpo and the Organiser, Hon. Hackman S. Kabore.
Hon. Joseph Appiah Boateng afectionately JAB 1, toured his constituency with his visitors and they visited a number of places including Tailor Kope Zone; Adzide Kope; Kabu Kope; Adofoa; Dem; Sofo Kope amongst others.
The visitation was described as a wonderful and an experience moment by the Regional Executives. Due to the nature of this zone, they cruised in boats on the Afram River to access most of the places since they are island communities.
JAB 1 and his entourage, embarked on this outreach programme to ensure that the people in his constituency are educated on the coming NDC internal election processes to prevent and avoid electoral misunderstanding and internal party wrangling.
This is also to enhance free, fair and transparent processes and practices in internal elections.
On their return on the boat, the Eastern Regional Executives commended the MP, JAB 1 for his hard. The acknowledgement came up after Hackman Kabore had interaction with some party people in the boat during their cruising to and fro the hinterlands.
The hard working Hon. MP, Joseph Appiah Boateng, JAB 1, took the opportunity to thank the communities for their massive turnout during the 2020 election to vote for the NDC and Himself as the MP.
He reaffirmed his decision to make sure the people in the zone will surely have their share of the national cake be it Solar Panels for Electricity generation, CHP compound or any social intervention programme.
The four-day tour, which began on the 12th of May and ended on the 15th of May 2022, which was meant to sensitize the electorate, saw great success.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has finally came out with dates to reorganize and conduct internal elections starting with membership verification, limited registration, and branch Election from 15th May to July 2022.
