The leadership of a Group calling itself “Coalition of National Service Personnel for Justice (CNSPJ)” based in Cape Coast North in Central Region of Ghana has called on the government to immediately pay the allowance of its members which has been in arrears for two months.
According to Bless Amankwaah, a member of the group who works at the department of Biomedical Sciences – University of Cape Coast said, the NSS personnel are demanding unpaid allowances due them.
He warned that, the government’s inability to pay them their allowances in arrears and subsequent silence on the delay shall push them to embark on an industrial strike action.
He laments that the clear scores of astronomical and obnoxious increases in the prices of transport fares has affected the prices of goods and services, therefore demands for their allowance to meet their financial needs.
Mr. Amankwaah expressed disappointment in the executives of the National Service Personnel, NASP Cape Coast North branch in the Central Region, for being silent on the matter which he said, is a clear indication that the leadership of NASP there don’t think about them, hence the threat to embark on an industrial strike over their allowances.
Mawuko Foli-Mensah, one of the other members of the Coalition of National Service Personnel for Justice based in the Cape Coast Northe in the Central Region, also expressed serious disappointment in the leadership of NASP, in the area.
