The Hon Member of Parliament, MP for the Krowor Constituency, Mrs. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey has shown mark of a leader when she handles one of the knotty needs of her people in the area.
It was noted that Naa Momo Lartey has been using her monthly salary to provide soqme needs of the Senior High School Students down to the primary levels to lessing the financial difficulties their parents are facing under this inept NPP government.
The MP provided various needed learning materials to these students and those at the primary and JHS levels also received school bags in addition to PPEs she procured.
According to her, she was not given her share of the MPs common fund to enable her to carry out her functions well as MP in the area.
In an interview on Accra based radio station, Power Fm morning show hosted by Prince Kwame Minkan on Friday 23, 2022 she indicated it was not easy for her whilst she threw light on her activities in the past 100 Days since she was sworn-in as the new MP for Krowor.
A huge number of tertiary students also received an envelope each from Naa Momo Lartey when they took part in her event with other students body in the constituency.
The Hon MP for Krowor Constituency further hinted that she enrolled many School drop-outs who were willing to go back to school.
On the unemployment, Naa Momo said she manage to secure various kind of Jobs for about 10 per cent of the number of applicants list at her job application centre created to assist the youth of Krowor for free and promised to secure for others who are waiting if permits.
She was quick to add that an appreciable number of youth in Krowor have passed out from apprenticeship and are working whilst others are still undergoing apprenticeship.
The NDC MP for Krowor Constituency said one of her challenges is that Krowor for the first time is in opposition, However, she would do what she could to bring acceptable development to the constituency.
In a related development, Mrs. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey posited that issue of beaches at Krowor needed serious attention before it could be handled properly.
She cited that when she was the Presiding Member, PM of then Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal Assembly (LeKMA), they have been doing a lot to keep the beaches clean where dumping of refuse and other open nuisance activities are stopped.
She said prior to elections 2020, anytime she leads a clean up exercise with the people at the beaches the ruling NPP in area have been laughing at them and accused them of taken over the job of the Zoomlion Waste Management Company.
Mrs Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, disputed the allegations by the desperate NPP in the constituency that she does not live in the area.
She explained that the Local Government Committee she belongs to in parliament appears it wants to take greater part of her time because they normally travel outside Accra for parliamentary work.
She promised to be meeting everyone on selected days at her new office in the constituency.
