The National Democratic Congress, NDC has donated some food items to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Alhaji Osuman Nuhu Sharabuktu on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at his Sukura résidence in Accra.
Hon Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, National chairman of the NDC donated the items on behalf of former President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC.
The National chairman took the opportunity to wish Chief Imam who is 102 today, April 23, Happy Birthday.
Bags of rice and sugar has been donated to support the Muslims who are two days to way to the middle of their fast (Ramadan).
The NDC National Chairman also requested for prayers for the Nation, the party and for his Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
The Chief Imam, Sheikh Alhaji Osuman Nuhu Sharabuktu thanked the NDC for its constant support to the Muslim communities and assured the party of their prayers in this holy month of Ramadan.
Hon Ofosu Ampofo also made a stop at the residence of Yushau Yaro, the gentleman who was shot in the leg during the Ayawaso West wougon by-elections by State sponsored NPP vigilante.
Yaro has undergone series of surgeries with the support of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and Chairman Ofosu-Ampofo who was presented undisclosed amount of money, a bag of rice, sugar and some household needs to the victim.
Hon Ofosu-Ampofo assured him of his constant support until he gets back to his feet.
The NDC National Chairman was accompanied by the National Zsngo Caucus Coordinator Alhaji Arimeyao Cooly Young and some leaders of the National Zango Caucus, the two National Deputy Communication Officers of the Party, Comrade Godwin Ako Gunn and Comrade Kwaku Boahen as well as some executives of the Okaikoi Central Constituency.
