The Parliamentary Candidate, PC on the ticket of the opposition NDC, John Setor Kofi Dumelo has started implementing the People’s Manifesto of the party.
The NDC PC, John Setor Kofi Dumelo has also promised the electorates of Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency of using 50% of his salary as a parliamentarian if votes for to quicken the development of areas facing flooding problems amongst others things.
At the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency campaign launch in Accra and his introduction to the electorates the hard working Setor Dumelo presented a number of sewing machines and heir driers to some youth who want to go into apprenticeship to be trained as seamstresses and heir dressers.
The NDC People’s Manifesto has various policy components geared towards empowering the youth through national apprenticeship programme – artisanal and vocational which would be followed with supports to empower the beneficiaries to be on their own after the apprenticeship training.
Setor Kofi Dumelo also disclosed opening a mushroom farm to enable him train young people to produce in a large quantity for supply to restaurants across the country and beyond.
Since he was elected the NDC Parliamentary Candidate, PC for Ayawaso West Wuogon, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament, MP for the area, Lydia Seyram Alhassan became restless and without peace because she finds it difficult to attend to the little needs of the people like Setor Dumelo does in the area.
Setor Kofi Dumelo, earlier donated a huge number of labtops to help the Legon students in their lectures and to facilitate their learning and research work in the school.
He hinted the huge crowd that throng Bawalashie school park from all walks of life, especially the youth that he was prevented from saving people’s lives who suffer from rain flood reasonally, when he sent escalators to dredge the big drains around West Legon to curtail the rain from flooding people’s houses.
Few weeks later, the whole Accra experienced serious rain and people’s houses got flooded at West Legon. The MP and the Municipal Chief Executive, MCE for the area left the people to be flooded when they refused to dredge the gutters after they stopped Dumelo.
He informed the teeming youth who converged at the Bawalashie school park, especially those who want to become footballers as their profession should expect a football team in the area to harness talent to be sent abroad to ply their trade in football. This he said would enable them to take care of their families.
Setor Kofi Dumelo charged the University against the move by the Nana Akuffo-Addo to arrogate to himself the powers over these public in Ghana.
