AS THE National Democratic Congress (NDC) officially opens nominations for constituency elections nationwide, a leading voice of women empowerment in the party, Hajia Rashidatu Mahama Affainie, has sent a powerful message of love, solidarity and encouragement to all Constituency Women Organizers and their deputies across the 16 regions of Ghana.
The former Ningo-Prampram Constituency Women Organizer, in a heartfelt solidarity message, celebrated the courage, loyalty and unmatched dedication of NDC women at the grassroots level, describing them as the true backbone, heartbeat and pillar of the party’s strength.
According to Hajia Rashidatu Affainie, in a statement, every woman who has picked the bold step to contest – be she an incumbent, a deputy seeking elevation, a returnee, or a first-timer – deserves to be celebrated for keeping the spirit of the NDC alive in every polling station, ward and constituency.
“My beloved sisters, your work is seen, your sacrifice is appreciated, and your leadership is indispensable. You are competent, you are qualified, and you are ready to lead,” she stated.
Hajia Rashidatu Affainie, who is highly revered for her outstanding mobilization skills and motherly leadership during her tenure at Ningo-Prampram, used the occasion to call on all aspirants to step forward with courage, confidence, wisdom and humility.
She urged women organizers to embrace a clean campaign devoid of insults and division, but one marked by true sisterhood and mutual respect.
She further emphasized that unity after the internal contest remains the ultimate goal, stressing that the NDC needs every woman on board to secure victory and to advance the party’s agenda for Ghanaians.
“Let us compete as sisters, not as enemies. Let us campaign with ideas and love. When the elections are over, we must come together as one strong family, because our collective success is more important than individual ambition,” she added.
Hajia Rashidatu Mahama Affainie concluded by wishing all contestants success and divine favour, while reaffirming her continuous support for women empowerment and grassroots mobilization in the NDC.
