The National Democratic Congress, NDC Women’s wing of Ablekuma Central Constituency in the Greater Accra Region have shown preparedness to snatch Parliamentary seat in the area.
The women were commended for their hard work during the voters’ registration exercise in the area, they were also encouraged to even work more harder to snatch the seat and maximize the presidential votes for John Mahama (JM).
The NDC Regional Women Organiser, Madam Felicia Bortey Mekpoi informed her colleagues women’s wing to put behind their differences for the sake of the NDC, especially the John and Jane ticket.
She noted that because the NDC has chosen Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as the next woman Vice President of Ghana, shows the NDC believes in empowering women more than any other Political party in Ghana.
According to madam Felicia Mekpoi, after she sworn-in Hajia Kande Ramatu Yahaya to deputise Hajia Rahina, Vice President Dr. Mahamoudu Bawumia has allowed himself to be foolish by the NPP to loose all his credibility. She indicated the NPP metored Alhaji Bawumia and he lies at any given opportunity.
The various speakers who took turns to speak appealed to the constituency executive to unite if they really want to win the seat because everything shows the NDC stands the chance to take back Ablekuma Central seat, but it appears the division in the area could be the problem.
Alhaji Alidu, who lost the last primaries to Dan Lartif aka Minister also drummed home the need to unite for snatch the seat. He disclosed the NPP have realised they could not live up to their promises to Ghanaians so all they want was to rig the elections because Ghanaian electorates have now come to terms with the NDC that the NPP had deceived them to vote for Nana Akuffo-Addo in 2016.
He encouraged everyone to be vigilant because the Nana Akuffo-Addo and the NPP are so cunning that they could not be trusted.
Alhaji Alidu said amongst other things that Nana Addo has borrowed over Ghc140b more than all the past Governments, yet they have little to show.
On his part, the Ablekuma Central NDC PC, Dan Lartif who made brief remarks stressed that the NDC must win both Presidential and Parliamentary elections at all cost. But he was quick to also reiterate that unity, togetherness could do the magic for the anticipated victory.
Dan Lartif informed the gathering that the NPP want to intensify use money to receive the electorates and not because of their performance, but in case of the NDC, unity and hard work must be the weapon and victory would be assured. “The NPP has the money and the NDC is coming with unity; meanwhile, people are watching those who are working for the party”, he said.
Hajia Rahina Abass, the Ablekuma Central Constituency Woman’s Organiser was gratiful to all fellow women in the area for their efforts during the voter registration exercise for the NDC victory over the ruling party led Nana Addo. She hopes on the back of hard work they would take the seat and maximize the presidential votes for JM to continue with his good work for Ghanaian.
In her welcome address, Hajia Rahina pleaded with her colleagues women to double their work to ensure electorates come out in their numbers to vote massively for the NDC.
Madam Felicia Bortey Mekpoi, suported the Hajia Rahina Abass, Ablakuma Central Constituency women’s organiser to award about hundred and forty (140) ladies for their recognized contribution to the party in the area.
