THE Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Setor Dumelo, together with the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Dr. Michael Mensah, has supported needy pupils in the constituency with essential books and learning materials as schools reopen.
The support, which was provided on the first day of the new school term, was aimed at helping children from less-privileged homes begin their studies without the burden of lacking basic learning materials.

The initiative forms part of efforts by the MP and the Municipal Assembly to support education and ensure that financial difficulties do not prevent children from attending school or participating fully in classroom activities.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the support, saying the materials would help them settle into school and concentrate on their studies.
Mr Dumelo and Dr Mensah, Ayawaso West Wuogon Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) stressed the importance of creating an enabling environment for children to learn and develop their talents.

They said every child deserved access to the basic tools needed for effective learning, regardless of the financial circumstances of their families.
The initiative also highlights the need for continued collaboration between political leaders, local authorities, schools, parents and other stakeholders to address challenges affecting education in the municipality.

The MP and the MCE reaffirmed their commitment to supporting initiatives that promote the welfare and education of children in Ayawaso West Wuogon.
They said investing in children was an investment in the future of the municipality and the country as a whole.
