GHANA’S High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, H.E. Zita Sabah Benson, has been honoured as the “African Ambassador of the Year 2026” at the 21st edition of the prestigious Voice Achievers Awards held in London over the weekend.
The recognition celebrates her contribution to Ghana-Africa relations, diplomatic engagement and efforts to promote Ghana’s image and interests on the international stage.
The award has also been described as a strong recognition of the growing role of African diplomats in building partnerships, strengthening international cooperation and projecting the continent positively.
Following the honour, H.E. Zita Sabah Benson expressed gratitude to everyone who supported and prayed for her throughout her service.
Sharing photographs from the colourful ceremony, she thanked Ghanaians, friends and well-wishers for their encouragement and support.
The award is expected to further inspire the High Commissioner in her diplomatic duties and commitment to representing Ghana in the United Kingdom.
