LATE DR. ALHAJI SANNIE JAJAH,  GHANA’S FEPUTY AMB. TO SAUDI ARABIA.

Story By: M. Faisal Mustapha

THE PILGRIMS Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has expressed its deepest condolences to the family of the late Alhaji Sannie Jajah, former Deputy Ambassador of Ghana to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In a condolence message issued on August 10, 2026, the Chairman of the PAOG and Ghana Hajj Board, Hon. Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Tanko Ibrahim, described the late diplomat as a distinguished Ghanaian who dedicated his life to public service, national unity and the welfare of Ghanaian pilgrims.

According to the PAOG, Alhaji Sannie Jajah played an important role during the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage, where his work in Madina, Makkah, Mina, Arafat and other areas contributed to the successful organisation of the pilgrimage for Ghanaian pilgrims.

The office praised his professionalism, dynamic personality and commitment to duty, saying his strong human relations and dedication made him an important figure in Ghana’s Hajj operations and diplomatic engagements in Saudi Arabia.

“His excellent human relations, dedication to duty, and devotion to the welfare of Ghanaian pilgrims made him a model of diplomatic ethics and service,” the PAOG said.

The statement described the late diplomat as one of Ghana’s finest assets at its foreign mission in Saudi Arabia, particularly in matters concerning Hajj and Umrah services.
It also hailed him as a trailblazer whose contribution to the country’s diplomatic and Hajj operations would not be forgotten.

The PAOG said his legacy of service would continue to inspire future generations of Ghanaians to put the nation first and serve with integrity, humility and dedication.

The organisation prayed for strength and comfort for the bereaved family as they mourn their loss.

“May the Almighty Allah grant our beloved brother Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen. Insha Allah,” the statement concluded.
