FORMER Member of Parliament for Afram Plains North and aspiring National Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Mrs. Seyram Betty Krosbi Mensah, has congratulated Dr. Pamela Graham on her historic appointment as Ghana’s first female Auditor-General.
In a congratulatory message, Hon. Krosbi Mensah said she joined millions of Ghanaians in celebrating Dr. Graham’s appointment and swearing-in as the 11th Auditor-General of the Republic of Ghana, describing it as a proud moment in the country’s history.

She expressed confidence in Dr. Graham’s ability to succeed in the role, saying, “I have every confidence in your capacity to excel in this important national assignment.”
According to her, the appointment is more than a personal achievement for Dr. Graham. She said it is a clear demonstration that women have the competence, integrity and leadership qualities to excel when given the opportunity to serve.
Hon. Krosbi Mensah also praised the government of John Dramani Mahama for creating more opportunities for women to occupy top public offices. She noted that the appointment reflects the government’s commitment to implementing the Affirmative Action Act and promoting gender equality in leadership.

She said Dr. Graham’s elevation to the high office sends a strong message to young women and girls across Ghana that determination, hard work and competence can help them rise to the highest levels of public service.
Describing the appointment as a victory for women, Hon. Krosbi Mensah said it would inspire many more females to pursue leadership positions and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s development.
She further expressed confidence that Dr. Graham would strengthen transparency, accountability and good governance through her work at the Ghana Audit Service and leave behind a lasting legacy.

Hon. Krosbi Mensah concluded by praying for God’s wisdom, strength and guidance for Dr. Pamela Graham as she takes up the responsibilities of the office, expressing optimism that her tenure would inspire future generations of women leaders.
