THE PILGRIMS Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has announced that some prospective pilgrims, including groups and accredited agents, have begun making payments toward the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.
In a press release issued on October 16, 2025, PAOG stated that the current fare for Hajj 2026 is GH¢60,000, and payments are being made through the Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), the official bankers for the process.
The statement advised accredited Hajj agents to strictly follow the guidelines for payment, including the use of their unique code numbers and accurate documentation.
PAOG also encouraged individuals who wish to pay directly to do so via GCB using the PAOG account number 1681130001682. After payment, pilgrims are required to present their pay-in slips to the PAOG Secretariat to begin the official travel process.

The Chairman of PAOG, Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Tanko Ibrahim, expressed gratitude to those who have already started payments and urged all agents to remain committed to the process, stressing the trust placed in them by the Office.
PAOG reassured stakeholders that it is committed to ensuring a smooth and transparent process for Hajj 2026.
