THE LEBANESE Embassy in Ghana has honoured Marwako Fast Food Ltd with a special certificate of appreciation in recognition of the company’s valuable contributions to the Lebanese community in Ghana.
The certificate was presented by the Lebanese Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Maher Kheir, and received on behalf of Marwako’s CEO, Alhaji Marwan Mohammed Chabban, by the company’s Director General, Mr. Ziyad Zaabalawi, at a brief but significant ceremony held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in Accra.

The citation read:
“In recognition and appreciation of valuable contributions and dedicated efforts in supporting and advancing the Lebanese Community Scholarship Program in Ghana, which has greatly enhanced educational opportunities and strengthened cultural and academic ties between Lebanon and Ghana.”
Speaking after receiving the award, Mr. Zaabalawi expressed gratitude to the Embassy for the recognition and assured the Ambassador of Marwako’s continued dedication to serving both Ghanaian and Lebanese communities.
He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to excellence, community development, and youth empowerment through education and opportunity.
Marwako Fast Food Ltd, known for its distinct Lebanese and Ghanaian fusion cuisine, has grown to become a household name in Ghana’s food and hospitality industry. It has received numerous awards for both quality service and corporate social responsibility.

Despite facing challenges in the past, including public scrutiny over isolated allegations of food safety, the brand has demonstrated resilience and transparency. It has since bounced back even stronger — expanding its operations and winning back public trust.
Today, Marwako boasts several branches across Accra and beyond, serving thousands daily with its signature meals. Its consistent efforts in creating jobs, supporting education, and maintaining strong community ties continue to set it apart as not just a business, but a socially responsible brand.
